Description

The SFF-8643 8i is a 72-pin high-density Mini SAS connector with a plastic body interface typically used for internal connections, primarily used to implement HD SAS internal interconnect solutions. Typical applications are internal SAS links between SAS HBAs and SAS drive subsystems. The SFF-8643 is compliant with the SAS 3.0 specification and supports 12Gbps data transfer protocol.

Fit and release force.
1. Conditions: EIA 364-13. Insert and pull out at a speed of 25mm/min.
2. Combining force: maximum 100N.
3. Releasing force: minimum 50N.

Electrical performance
1. When pairing the contact current rating, the maximum value of each pin is 0.5A.
2. When the rated voltage is paired or unpaired, each contact is 30VAC.
3. The maximum contact resistance is 30mohm initially and 15mohm after pressure test.
4. Dielectric withstand voltage 500 VAC for 1 minute without breakdown.
5. The minimum insulation resistance is 1000 Mohm.
